It’s been over 2 months since the studio temporarily stopped offering regular classes. I’m not sure where the days have gone, but they are gone! As I chatted with a dear friend earlier this week about the whole global debacle, trying to highlight the less serious side of all of this, we chuckled and agreed at how this all feels like a long weekend gone rogue!

And not only have two months gone by but in the blink of an eye 12 months have passed. Today marks the 1st anniversary since Aumbience Yoga & Wellness opened her doors. WOW! How did that happen? Back in February when I had three months to plan for this day, I dreamed of an evening of celebration including yoga, music and chanting, sharing in good eats, stories, laughter and of saying hello to new friends and hugging the ones that have aged like fine wine.

Alas, it will have to wait.

I know many of you have joined in on the live ZOOM classes and even more of you have shared in a class in your own time. With the third month now in full swing, there will be some adjustments to the online offerings for June and then, fingers crossed, we will be back in the studio sharing space AND yoga classes again. Until then, I’ll settle for practicing in your living room, basement, bedroom, backyard or anywhere else you yoga mat fits.

Without you logging in or loading the virtual library, I wouldn’t get to do what I love – so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to you, the Aumbience Community. And also to the teachers who share in their own interpretation of these teachings when I’m not at the helm; to the holistic therapists who care for you in ways that I can’t; and to my family, especially my son William, who is my shadow, my assistant and my biggest teacher, and lastly to my husband Scott, who works behind the scenes to keep the space top-notch and running like a well-oiled machine, I am so very grateful.

More than just postures in a yoga mat, Aumbience Yoga studio is a most sacred and special place in which we can all practice, learn and flourish in our own unique ways as human beings doing our best with what this life has offered. This has been a most incredible year, and I raise my virtual glass as a toast to many more wonderful years to come.

    Namaste, my friends. Namaste.

(p.s. We WILL celebrate when all this is over… and I’m bringing the wine 😉).
