My sister-in-law gave me a new cookbook for my birthday back in January and I can’t get enough of it. So I thought it’s time to share its goodness with all of you! The book, The Hot Detox by Julie Daniluk R.H.N, combines the ancient teachings of Ayurveda and Chinese medicine wonderfully. She starts out by nourishing your intellect with the details of why you’d want to nourish your body in this way by diving into the science of digestion. She includes the process of how toxins enter and exit the body, what helps and hinder this process, and how the right combination of nutrients and minerals can help you feel powerfully nourished. Plus she includes a 3, 7, 10 and 21 day Hot Detox menu plan that will optimize your digestion.
Tiger Spice Smoothie
- 1 1/2 cups warmed non-dairy milk
- 3-4 medjool dates, pitted
- 2-3 Tbsp Hemp Hearts
- 2 Tbsp nut butter
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch pink rock salt
(I included a booster of 1/4 tsp of ground cardamom for added digestive support).
Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Enjoy!
